Rewraps Matroska files so QuickTime can play them, fast.
Download for macOS
Requires macOS 14.0 or later • free and open source
Ready in Seconds
Streams are copied, not re-encoded.
QuickTime Does the Playing
AirPlay, Picture in Picture, media keys, trimming, and the track menus are all the native ones you already know.
Nothing Gets Left Behind
Every audio track keeps its language and default flag, chapters come along, and text subtitles become selectable tracks in QuickTime's Subtitles menu.
Command line, too
Milktoast explains every decision it makes about your tracks, in the app and on the command line. Nothing happens to your original file.
